The operation of the action and safety button are a little stiff, but this guns has had no wear. The trigger of the Benelli is good, breaking at approximately 5 pounds. The Comforttech stock certainly seems to reduce recoil, the gun is comfortable to shoot with heavy loads. The Benelli came with a factory installed magazine plug that is easily removed, making the fall magazine capacity four rounds. The gun was furnished with shims that can be installed to adjust drop.

The magazine lock-out button works properly. This device allows you to remove the round in the chamber without releasing a shell from the magazine. I bought this gun three years ago from Able's and couldn't be happier with my purchase. The price was right, and they shipped to a hunting & fishing store near me.The Benelli Nova is a great shotgun. Very rugged, simple to field strip.it's one of the heavier guns in its class.

The 3.5' chamber lets you shoot HUGE super magnum rounds, so beware.I have never felt a kick like that from any other shotgun. Luckily, it takes smaller rounds too, down to 2.75'.If you're looking for a solid, rugged, entry-level shotgun, I highly recommend this.I have shot the Remington 870 and prefer the Benelli Nova, but the 870 runs a close second.
