Clips are the larges asset in a project by far, not all my clips will fit on one HDD so I seperate different projects on different HDDs. With LE this is very difficult to manage, having to define and manage generic capture folders not associated with any specific project, with SCLive it is very easy. I use SCLive to keep all render files on a different HDDs, when I fuse I know where the source clips are so where it is fastest to render to (a different HDD). I have the knowledge of where the files are, they are named logically and I am in control.I can also back up a project without the imported clips and get all the little things in the mediaAV folder without the large clips I can recapture with SCLive. Its only a matter of time before he adds HDV support, and probably 24p I/O as well. Hamstor, I don't do thing for myself. I do things for others.
What I mean to say is that I get people having old VHS footage and want me to convert it to DVD for them cause they do not have the knowhow or time. SO analogue is still important.I too use DV for my work, I have Caon XL1-s and XL2 cameras and when HDV gets more in the market and demanf than I would also jump and get the HDV cameras. But even at that time I still myself converting other peoples analogue footage to DVDs. In fact I still an transferring Super8 or 8mm FILM to DVD.SO I say again there are many applications around the world that are required to be done.
